Mont Ferrant is the oldest cava producer in Spain. Over 150 years dedicated to the elaboration of quality sparkling wines, strictly adhering to traditional methods, and resulting in wines of breath-taking personality, marked by strong acidity, an exceptional capability for laying down, and a character that is hard to forget.

One can achieve a great deal in a century and a half. This year, as the vineyard celebrates this important milestone, we’ve decided to shake things up a little; paving the way for the 150 years to come.
Mont-Ferrant was founded in 1865 by Agustí Vilaret, who, having made his fortune in South America returned to Catalunya full of grand designs and ideas for ambitious projects. Purchasing Mas Ferrant with the intention of producing champagne, he set about planting the vines, building a new cellar, and aquiring the necessary skills to create the first Mont-Ferrant.
Since those trying times, when not even the second fermentation within the bottle could be completely guaranteed, up until today, the story of Mont-Ferrant has been one that celebrates perseverance in the quest for perfection.
Today we are proud to work hard to create the great wines that Agustí dreamed of making, all those years ago.
Today we pay homage to them with the wines Agustí Vilaret and Berta Bouzy, and look to the past in order to move forward into the future.
